Healing and Wellness - The Medicine Wheel Way

Indians have access to health and wellness, which stems from the belief that the disease is associated with more than bodies. We believe that the disease is associated with imbalance. The imbalance is not limited to the physical body, but it is an extension of all of the body - physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. In this article, I'll introduce you to the Medicine Wheel and share with you my understanding of what it relates to our health and wellbeing. After that we go in depth on each of the body and you'll learn to use the Medicine Wheel and apply in your life to create harmony and balance.

medicine wheel and the tool and a guide who gave us the Creator and the Indian people used for many things, including healing and wellness. Generally, the disease is a physical manifestation of the spiritual, mental and / or emotional imbalance. It is well known for some time that stress and anxiety associated with health. Our happiness and attitudes are an important part of treatment when we do get sick. The great wheel, it is all connected, all things are connected. The approach is more holistic wellness - one that looks bigger picture possible causes and solutions

.

the physical, spiritual, mental and emotional bodies are represented in four quadrants are equilateral cross in the center of the circle. The cross and circle signs for Medicine Wheel. circuit and / or glyph symbolizes many things, in fact all things. The circle is perfection, balance, life, the universe, the infinite potential; glyph is neither plus nor minus. All things are part of that circle.

as a tool and guide, we can think about the Medicine Wheel as a map. Like conventional map, there are reference points that serve as landmarks or navigation can be a symbolic starting point to know what the four cardinal directions - east, west, north and south. (There are actually six routes to school because the "up" and "down", sometimes referred to as the Indian people as "beyond the world" and "Under World", or Father Sky and Mother Earth.) Each of the four bodies correspond to the four directions .

east coincides with the physical, emotional, to the south, west and north with the spiritual with the mental. An easy way to remember the four ways the body relate to the four directions is to think of the Medicine Wheel as a human body. head or the mind (mental) in the North as the North is still "up"on a conventional map. heart (emotional) in the south just as the heart is lower in the human body. To remember the east (physically) and west (spiritual), just remember that we depend on sunlight for our literal physical existence. We need its light, warmth and energy on physical survival. Just as the sun rises in the east to provide for our physical needs and then turns into dusk as the West slides, so, too, can think and be reminded of the spiritual relationship with the west. You May have heard a reference to the "twilight years", or maybe you've heard the phrase "the sun is setting on your life." Indians believe that when the spirit leaves the body it goes to the West. spirit returns to the spiritual world.

All things are connected and all working together. This is our health - physically, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. When youyou work with this knowledge and place your rates in accordance with this ancient wisdom ,you will find the power !

Our focus will be on the four bodies and their mutual relationship to health. We will also discuss two directions - up and down. This represents a social and professional aspects of our being.

The sun is life-giving resource that is central to all life on Earth. importance given to Indian people, the sun is a sign of respect they show. The sun is our father in the same way that the earth is our mother. Like his father, the sun provides for us and gives us heat and light - and works with her mother to provide food for us. Just as the sun rises in the east signaling the beginning of a new day, new life and a new cycle - so, too, we put a "new beginning" in the east, Medicine Wheel. When a child is born, he enters the first of four phases in the growth cycle: infant, child, adult and older. Since this is the beginning of a new life, earthly journey has its beginning in the east.

First, there is a need to feed and nourish the body, so that's all you need to make to its optimum capacity. Diet and nutrition are an important element. We want to put good things in our body while protecting it from things that can hurt you. Our body is doing a good job of filtering and the voiding of toxins, but when we consume quantities of toxins, such as substances, such as those found in drugs, alcohol and tobacco, the body has to fight hard to restore and maintain balance. Misuse of any of these things generally signals that something is unbalanced in one or more other bodies - spiritual, mental and emotional - all of which makes us more susceptible to disease

First we must understand and manage our own feelings and sense of well-being. When a person is in a state of balance, there is a general feeling of positivity and even enthusiasm about life. The difference between life and living is the difference between existence and Thriving.

One of the ways we do this is through prayer and meditation. Every thought that comes from our mind and every word that comes from our mouth is a prayer. When we think, though we send energy out into the world and universe. This is why we should be careful with our thoughts. Whether we know it or not, our thoughts are intentions that go out from us even if we are not conscious of it. Our words bring into the physical realm that Which we think. Awareness that our thoughts and our words are forms of prayer should have you asking "to what, and for what, and I pray ?"

Our spirit is our essence - what we have in our town. To be spiritual is to raise our will at the highest possible level. We do this through our thoughts, words and actions, and constant awareness! Feed the body, mind and heart of good things and to nurture the spirit. Looking for truth and understanding and to devote part of each day in prayer and meditation, and your spirit will be strong. Another thing that is important for the spirit is an attitude of gratitude. Thank you one thing that we can give to the Creator who is not already his. Regardless of the fact that you are thankful for when you dwell on it in your mind, we give back to the generous space in the heart. the spirit is nourished through it.

<] U] NORTH - Mental

We have the capacity for learning endless. brain continues to grow throughout our lives, but as our body, heart and spirit, we must foster the good stuff.

the mental aspect of our being is important, because thought is the beginning of what we are working to create. Change your thoughts and change their beliefs. Change your beliefs and change their actions. Change your actions and change your character. Change your character and change his fate. It all starts with a thought. This is our chance to create, through our intention, the life we want for ourselves. When you focus on the positive things in life, a positive outcome. To become aware of thoughts that might need adjustments or changes, meditation is central.

In meditation, we want to encourage and challenge the brain and to devote part of each day on intellectual activity and growth. Puzzles, learning a new language, playing a musical instrument, anything that causes the brain to work may be associated with growth.

I can not stress enough strength to positive and keeping your focus on the good in life. The phrase "we reap what you sow" is true. When you send a good thing in the universe, you can get good things back. seeds that you sow today are the garden from which you will eat tomorrow.

mother - Social

I hesitate to assign a direction to this aspect, because the negative connotation of association with the "down" so I use the mother as the mother energy flows upward to the Father energy spirals downward. To remember this, you can think of "Mother Earth" and "Father Sun". Together they form a double helix that spirals through all things. In humans, this energy travels through a natural channel in our spine.

We need to care for our social / communal environment like a mother who cares for your child. In Native culture, there is a strong sense of community because we understand that "It takes a village". All that we as individuals affect the whole, which affects us in return. Care should be taken over just as we care about you and all the dimensions that make them. We rely on others for many things. We rely on the creature and other creatures on this earth for our survival. We are herd animals and, as such, were we supposed to know their place in the great circle of life. We should know how to treat everyone else - and how they relate to us. Each person contributes either positively or negatively on his or her environment and community, so it is in everyone's best interest to strive for a healthy relationship with the world and all beings in it.

With regard to the four phases of growth cycle, when the baby is born is all done for the baby. He was dressed, fed, cleaned and tended to by someone else. In a sense, the world (at least for the baby knows it), revolves around him. As it grows, and his awareness increases, he sees the world is bigger and it is a natural tendency to try and master the world, so that it becomes more and more independent - going further and doing more for themselves. At the end of his teaching, he discovers that the world is becoming less about him and more about the whole. If his teachings are in balance, he knows the importance of serving a whole because it knows that it serves the whole is, in essence, serve yourself.

part of our lives should be dedicated to community service at some level. At the root of this is learning to live in harmony with our environment and community - receiving from them and giving them

.

FATHER - Professional

Work is more than we do to earn a living. That's how we "do" to enrich our lives and how we contribute to the whole society. It rises above the simple task of performing in this way with a positive attitude.

In our profession, we can gain new skills, discover new ideas, everything that can nourish our physical, spiritual, emotional and mental body. Understand how work contributes to our own lives, our families, our communities and our world can pick up a task-oriented position to do something more meaningful and fulfilling.

key to finding this achievement was finding something you want to do ... finding something that is in line with your values, morals and beliefs. The ban that, it's about having the right attitude, working with heart, and finding joy in the accomplishments and works, because you know what is important on so many levels. Do it like you mean it!

SUMMARY

Energy is all around us. We have created out of energy. There are many different forms of energy: heat, light, male, female, positive, negative, and so on. There is a universal energy - the divine energy - that when we tap into it and align ourselves with the flow, life-changing

.

In order to align with the flow we bring all the bodies referred to in unison. When all the bodies in harmony and balance, it's like all the planets alignment for us and our good.

Energy is about vibration and vibration levels. If we are to resonate with those things on a higher vibrational level, we first need to raise our own. We enter into this larger stream by making better choices that affect all levels and all the bodies. These elections come out positive thoughts and actions. Our quest for good health and well-being, in his heart, the quest for a good life. Be good to live well.

in the traditional way, I have this information on their feet. If you find something good in it, pick it up and walk with him, because it now belongs to you. We do it with the gifts of this nature, because we understand that each person has their own free will. In addition to free will comes responsibility for this gift of life that is ours. Each person must take the initiative and be an active participant in your well-being. symbolic "passing on your feet" shows that you can take it upon themselves to pick up and use this information. Like any other medication, they do it only if you take it.

My prayer is that each person will find a balance through this awareness that can then be extended to the whole of our world and fix the Sacred Hoop of life that has been missing for too long.

in the Spirit,

Ralph P. Brown (Tawennihake)
